glow at the edge of the woods,

a few glorious moments~

as snow falls on golden leaves,
a warm apple pie

the sun rises,
white gulls glide
through a yellow sky

cold this morning

a chilly north wind
whips across the field today,
the birches stand naked~
yellow leaves tumble and toss,
ebony crows huddle close
