Breathtakingly beautiful! WOW!!!
Such a soft, delicate image of the season. Rather makes me a little sad to see the birds fly off.
This is the first time I had seen so many dove together. We have them here all the time, so this group must have been from Away.
The last few years we have had mourning doves around all winter in this western New England hilltown. It is true the temps are a little higher than they used to be but there is still deep snow cover that buries much of their food. Thank goodness for staghorn sumac seed, a much loved winter forage for birds.
Nice photo and words.

such a spectacular photo. I’ve seen this type of sight so many times, but never have the camera ready to capture it so well as you have. Love your haiku, it captures both sight and sound so well.
lovely haiga, Sandy!
this picture reminds me of the birds that take flight from one side of the road to the other early mornings/ late afternoons. i love the sound of all those birds in the trees. you’ve captured their flight beautifully. have a great day.
Wonderful poem – what is it about a flock of birds backlit against the sky…?
enjoyed imagining the sights and sounds of the picture…beautiful
