It is amazing how good dirt looks with sunlight, isn’t it? After such a warm beginning to the winter, I couldn’t believe how cold the wind was yesterday. One whole end of my garden is full of tiny poppy plants. Sure hope they come back in the spring.
I love the remnants in the garden in winter. They add just the right amount of structured whimsy. Beautiful shot, Sandy! And your words, as always, the perfect delicate accompaniment.
Just a few days ago a learned the term bokeh (the hazy circles of light that sometimes show up photos) and that it can be done deliberately. I don’t know if you did this deliberately in this photo or not, but either way, the effect it had on this photo stunning!
Sandy,
This is a gorgeous photo.

I like poppies as they are good at spreading. Can you hear the dry seed pods rattle abit in the wind? I remember how mine sometimes did.
Brenda
Yes, I have heard that, and even have heard mine!
Lovely haiku…simply lovely!
Thank you, I had a bit of trouble finding a shot for that haiku.
Beautiful, your photo and your words as well.
Thanks Sandy!
Thank you, Margie. I do like sun bling!

Wishing you a beautiful 2012!
Thanks so much, Talon. My gardening is always good for that.
I love this photo, Sandy!
It is just dirt, and weed tops, Terry.
I love it Sandy and it’s a bit of an echoe to mine this morning,
Thanks! I am on my way to look at yours.
Really pretty – I love the sparkly bokeh. Love the words too.
Sometimes, I think a photo has the same feel as poem. This is one of them.
Beautiful words and photo, Sandy…
Thank you Frank. I never thought I would say this, but I hope we get some snow soon, to cover the bare plants.
Pretty words and weed tops!
Weeds seem to always look better in their afterlife, don’t you think?
Happy New Years, Jewel. I have a feeling you are young enough to party!
I love the subdued feeling of this photo, and your haiku works so well with it.
It just shows there is beauty in every season.

Yes, I did. I am not much on jewelry, but I do llike a little bling in my photos.
I really love this one, it’s dazzling!
That is an apt description of the sun in early morning, Cait.
Beautiful image…like Jewels
Sun jewels!
lovely words, stunning picture…
Thanks so much!
