I have shot through sheer poly fabric before with good results. On this day though, I was just trying to get the sun without all the other things in the scene. It worked.
I was wondering about the photo, thanks for the explanation. These are some of your best words yet, I love how you move back and forth between your own, mundane, actions and what is going on outside. There is something here that seems so real!
It seems that no matter what I am doing, one eye is always on the outdoors. All my back of the house windows look out on interestings views. The woods, the field, the gardens, the sunrise…
If you are wondering, this is the golden-eyed sun shot through my sheer blue curtains, and then watercolored in PSE.
That looks so unusual with the layers of orange and the four points of the compass. I like it; what a great idea!

I wondered how you achieved that effect! Nice!
It is the light catching on the shine of the fabric. Sometimes you can get this effect with a nylon window screen, too.
Intriguing effect, Sandy!
I have an idea that this should have gone on my photo blog!
Beautiful!
Thanks, Catherine! Stop in any time.
Simply gorgeous…both colour and effect..
Somethings turn out better than others. I am happy with this try.

I do like your way with words!
Your poetry is a gift, sandy. And what a creative image – a morning star.
Cait, it must have been all those childhood years of my mother saying “go out and play with your imagaination” because I still am.
I just love that saying of your mother’s! How wonderful.
outstanding Sandy I’m speechless on both photo and words, as always a double whammy
From one who often delivers double whammies, that is great praise.
Thanks!!
What a jewel – I like what you’ve done! I think the poem is a great observation of your early morning.
Looking out the window comes even before starting the coffee in the morning. How about you?
Hi Sandy
Very cool, you continue to amaze me with your posts.
Guy
Thanks so much, but most of my stuff is so ordinary!!
Pretty cool effects! At 8°, shooting from inside is a good idea!
You would not believe how many shots are taken while standing in the bathtub. It is in perfect line with the feeders. I do take my shoes off first!
It is breath taking…looks like the sun coming through stained glass.
That is funny- PSE has a stain glass filter. When I tried it. I didn’t get anything at all like this.
Very nice…such a mystic feel!
Thanks, that is what I was trying for.
Socks and flannel shirt so you can fill your floor vase?
Please… I want to see a photo when you have it done!!
Sure, I will post it. I will let you know.
Wonderful capture on that photo, Sandy
Wonderful words as well.
Thank you!
Thanks, Marige. This was just a few seconds at the window.
beautiful effects in the photo!
Thanks, Juliet. This time of year, I catch the sun most mornings.
Holy cow, Sandy – you are the early bird who caught the goodie
There is a lot to be seen in early morning, Monica. I am lucky to be a morning person.
